Rainbow Surprise

In 1993, the LORD gave Jay a vision of reaching Muslim, Hindu, and Sikh children through television. After seeing one of its Christmas programs in a local shopping center, the director of the Kenya Broadcast Company (KBC) asked Kidlink to produce a weekly children’s show. By 1998, Rainbow Surprise was the number one TV show in Kenya, reaching over 15 million viewers every week.

After the show left the air in 2002, the Kenyan government reached out to Kidlink and invited them back to produce more shows. Rainbow Surprise re-launched in 2006 and is now reaching more than 22 million people per week in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Even though the network is government run, it has allowed Kidlink to share the hope of Jesus Christ explicitly in the program.
